The antique shop in Florence had an eerie charm, but Maria was drawn to a small marble statue of a weeping woman. The shopkeeper hesitated before selling it.

That night, Maria awoke to whispers in a foreign tongue. The statue had moved from her shelf to her bedside table. The next night, the whispers grew louder, pleading, crying. Maria researched and found the statue once belonged to a noblewoman buried alive by her jealous husband.

Terrified, she tried returning it, but the shop had vanished. That night, the whispers turned to screams, and Maria felt cold hands closing around her throat. By morning, she was found lifeless, her face frozen in silent horror. The statue had moved again—this time, placed beside her corpse.
