Not all courage wears boots.
Some of it walks barefoot—
across tiled floors
where no one claps.

It is the small yes
after a year of saying no.
It is making tea
on the day you’d rather not exist.

Bravery can be
in brushing your hair.
In texting back.
In not breaking the plate
when you so badly want to.

Some wars
are invisible.
Some victories
look like
breathing.
