Evening doesn’t arrive with noise. It seeps in—softly, like breath on a mirror. The light turns amber, shadows stretch, and somewhere in the kitchen, the clink of a cup signals pause. The world, always urgent, now exhales.
Birds return, not hurried. Trees still. Even the breeze changes tone—less of a shout, more of a sigh. You sit by the window, maybe without purpose. That’s the beauty of evenings—they demand nothing.
This is the hour that forgives. You tried. You missed. You carried more than you spoke of. But now, it’s okay to set it down. Let the silence refill you. Let calm have its say.
Even if nothing felt right today, this moment is enough.
