Have you noticed how a weeknight evening disappears in a blink, while weekend evenings stretch lazily? It’s the curious trick of the human mind—when freedom is scarce, time runs faster.
On workdays, dinner, chores, and tomorrow’s worries chase us until the night feels like a guest who never stayed. But on weekends, the same hours breathe differently—longer walks, slower meals, or simply doing nothing makes time feel generous.
Perhaps the lesson is this: weeknights can be reclaimed, even in small ways. A cup of tea without hurry, a short conversation without screens, or five minutes of music can stretch the evening. Time doesn’t vanish—it waits for how we choose to hold it.
