The alarm yells war, but the blanket hugs tight,
Whispers, “Stay hero, the world can wait tonight.”
The pillow plots mutiny, the fan hums a tune,
I negotiate: “Just five minutes, or maybe till noon?”
Yet somehow I rise, with hair in disarray,
Coffee in hand — victory claimed for the day.
Lesson learned from my cotton foe:
Even small battles count, before you go.
