When the Mind Finally Slows

There is a particular moment late in the evening when the mind finally slows down.
The rush of the day fades.
Messages stop arriving.
The outside world becomes quieter.
Only a few lingering thoughts remain.
This gentle slowing has its own importance.
During the day we react to many things.
At night we finally begin to reflect on them.
The mind quietly organizes what happened, deciding what deserves attention and what can simply pass away.
That is why rest feels so natural at this hour.
It allows the mind to complete its quiet work.
Tomorrow the pace will increase again.
But tonight offers a small pocket of calm.
And sometimes that calm is exactly what we need.
Let the quiet hours restore their balance.
