GOOD MORNING  MY READERS AND FRIENDS

The Weight of an Unspoken Truth

There are moments in life when silence feels heavier than words. I found myself in such a moment not long ago.

A close friend—someone I deeply respect and admire—has always been the image of a devoted spouse. The kind of person who makes marriage look effortless, built on love, trust, and unwavering commitment. But one evening, entirely by chance, I witnessed something that fractured that image. A stolen glance, an intimate whisper, a touch that lingered just a second too long—clear signs of something beyond friendship.

I told myself I must have misunderstood. I wanted to believe I was mistaken. But as the days passed, the truth became undeniable. My friend was having an affair.

And so began my torment.

Should I tell their spouse? If I were in their place, wouldn’t I want to know? Or would that truth only serve to destroy, leaving behind wounds that might never heal? I considered confronting my friend, demanding an explanation, but even then, what right did I have to interfere? Was it my place to pass judgment on someone else’s choices?

I thought about loyalty. To whom was I more loyal—the friend I had known for years or the unsuspecting spouse whose trust was being shattered? I tried to picture the possible outcomes, but no scenario felt right. If I spoke, I might tear a family apart. If I remained silent, I would be complicit in a deception I did not create.

That night, as I lay awake, I wondered—do we owe the truth to those who might be hurt by it, or is silence sometimes the kinder choice?

What would you do in my place? Would you reveal the truth, or would you carry the burden of silence?

The Dilemma of a Restless Mind

There are moments when the world feels perfectly aligned, and then there are those that shake the very foundation of our beliefs. Lately, I find myself standing at the crossroads of thought, burdened by questions that refuse to settle. These are not the grand philosophical puzzles of existence, nor the fleeting confusions of everyday life. They are dilemmas—deep, unsettling, and uncomfortably human.

In a world that thrives on absolutes, we are often told that right and wrong are clearly defined. But are they? Does morality function in black and white, or is it an ever-shifting spectrum of grey? When confronted with choices that tug at both reason and emotion, how do we decide which path to walk? More importantly, does the ‘right’ decision even exist, or is it merely a construct of perspective?

Over the next few days, I want to explore a few such dilemmas—questions that have left me or anyone restless, lingering in our mind without resolution. I will not present answers, for I have none. Instead, I will share my thoughts, my confusions, and the weight of indecision that accompanies them. Perhaps you, my readers, can offer clarity where I see only contradictions.

At the end of each day’s narrative, I will leave you with a question—a moment to pause, reflect, and, if you wish, share your own perspective. Because in matters of the heart, ethics, and conscience, there is no singular truth—only the wisdom we gather from one another.

From tomorrow, I begin with one such dilemma. But before that, I ask you—

do you believe there is always a right answer, or do we simply choose the lesser wrong?

Free therapy, anyone?

2. The Never-Ending Queue: At the bank, Neeta stood in line for so long that she became the unofficial therapist for everyone sharing their life stories.

3. Breakfast suddenly became a terrifying experience.

8. Online Shopping: Vikram ordered a ‘smart’ toaster that sings to you, only for it to use the voice of a famous villain.
