After four days of immersive exploration, we dedicated today to relaxation and celebration, marking our wedding anniversary in the serene ambiance of Seminyak.
Morning: Leisurely Start and Swimming
Embracing the luxury of The Bali Dream Villa Seminyak, we indulged in a restful sleep, waking up refreshed. The villa’s private pool, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, provided the perfect setting for a morning swim. The tranquility of the surroundings enhanced our relaxation, allowing us to fully unwind.
Late Morning: Beach Stroll
Post-swim, we decided to visit Seminyak Beach, located approximately 1.2 miles from our villa. The soft sands and gentle waves offered a peaceful environment for a leisurely walk. The beach’s expansive shoreline, lined with vibrant cafes and boutiques, showcased the blend of natural beauty and modern charm that Seminyak is known for.
Afternoon: Lunch and Spa Indulgence
For lunch, we explored a local café, savoring Balinese cuisine that tantalized our taste buds. Post-lunch, we treated ourselves to a traditional Balinese massage at a nearby spa. The therapeutic techniques, combined with aromatic oils, melted away any residual travel fatigue, leaving us rejuvenated.
Evening: Anniversary Dinner at Spice Mantraa
To celebrate our anniversary, we reserved a table at Spice Mantraa in Seminyak. This contemporary Indian restaurant is renowned for its innovative take on classic dishes, offering a delectable twist to traditional flavors. The culinary team, comprising six ambitious and creative chefs from various regions of India, reimagines the classics using molecular gastronomy and avant-garde techniques to create dishes with complexity and flair.
The ambiance was sophisticated yet inviting, and the staff’s warm hospitality made the evening special. Each dish was a masterpiece, blending spices harmoniously to create a memorable dining experience.
Night: Return to Villa
After dinner, we returned to The Bali Dream Villa Seminyak, reflecting on the day’s serene moments and the joyous celebration of our anniversary. The villa’s serene ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for a restful night’s sleep, as we prepared for our journey back to Delhi the following day.
This day of relaxation and celebration was a fitting conclusion to our Balinese adventure, leaving us with cherished memories to carry home.

Today marked a delightful blend of cultural immersion, scenic beauty, and a touch of luxury as we transitioned to a new abode in Bali.
Morning: Transition to The Bali Dream Villa Seminyak
We bid farewell to the Risata Bali Resort & Spa, our home for the past few days, and made our way to The Bali Dream Villa Seminyak. Nestled in the heart of Seminyak, this resort offers 30 luxurious private pool villas adorned with beautiful Balinese decorative ornaments, all surrounded by a lush garden environment. The villa’s serene ambiance provided the perfect setting for relaxation.
Mid-Morning: Exploring Balinese Crafts
Eager to delve into Bali’s rich artisanal heritage, we visited local markets renowned for their exquisite silver jewelry and traditional masks. The intricate designs of the silver pieces showcased the craftsmanship passed down through generations. The traditional Balinese masks, each telling a unique story, were captivating. These masks, often used in ceremonial dances, are not only artistic expressions but also hold cultural significance.
Noon: Savoring Balinese Coffee
Our exploration led us to a quaint coffee plantation where we were introduced to the world of Balinese coffee. We learned about the traditional methods of coffee production and had the opportunity to sample various blends, including the famed Kopi Luwak. The rich aroma and unique flavors were a treat to the senses.
Lunch: Dining with a View of Mount Batur

The third day of our Bali adventure promised a blend of spirituality, culture, and scenic beauty. After breakfast, we embarked on a journey to some of the island’s most iconic landmarks, eager to embrace all that Bali had to offer.
Ulun Danu Bratan Temple: Serenity by the Lake
Our first stop was the magnificent Ulun Danu Bratan Temple, situated on the serene shores of Lake Bratan. As we approached, the temple appeared to float on the water, its reflection shimmering in the lake’s calm surface. Surrounding the temple were beautifully landscaped gardens bursting with vibrant flowers—frangipanis, hibiscus, and bougainvillea in a riot of colors. Tall trees swayed gently in the cool mountain breeze, adding to the temple’s tranquil aura.
My wife stopped to admire the statues that dotted the temple grounds, each intricately carved and full of character. “Look at this one,” she pointed, captivated by a statue of Dewi Danu, the water goddess. “Such detail! It’s incredible how they bring these figures to life.”
The temple was bustling with visitors, yet the air of peace remained unbroken. People patiently waited in long lines for their turn to pose by the floating temple. Professional photographers buzzed around, clicking away with precision.
“Why don’t we hire a photographer too?” my wife suggested.
“Sure!” I nodded. “This place deserves to be captured professionally.”

Tourists were lining up for their turn, but the wait was worth it. When our turn came, we posed beneath the gate with wide smiles. My son’s excitement bubbled over as he explored the area, finding new angles for his photographs.

Luhur Lempuyang Temple: A Gateway to Heaven
Our journey continued to the Luhur Lempuyang Temple, famously known as the “Gateway to Heaven.” The split gate offered a breathtaking view of Mount Agung, framed perfectly on clear days.
But this stop came with a challenge—the steep climb. My wife, due to her knee pain, decided to sit this one out and waited at the base. She found a shaded spot to relax, chatting with locals and soaking in the temple’s spiritual ambiance.
“It’s okay,” she said with a smile. “You two go ahead and tell me all about it.”
Climbing to the top was no easy feat, but the reward was unparalleled. The panoramic views were awe-inspiring, and the majestic gate was everything we had imagined. My son and I stood in awe, taking in the sight of the clouds swirling around Mount Agung in the distance.

Tanah Lot Temple: Sunset by the Sea

My son wandered off to the water’s edge to capture the perfect sunset shot, while my wife and I sat hand in hand, absorbing the beauty around us.

Neither would I. It was the perfect way to end a day filled with wonder and discovery.

Bali Diaries: Day 2 – Exploring the Beauty of Nusa Penida
The second day in Bali began with a sense of excitement and anticipation. After a hearty breakfast of tropical fruits and fresh pastries, we set off early, our destination: Nusa Penida. This island, just a short ferry ride from Bali, promised breathtaking views, dramatic cliffs, and pristine beaches—everything we had dreamed of experiencing.
We took a speedboat from Sanur Harbor, and within an hour, we arrived at the rugged coastline of Klingking Beach. As we disembarked, the sight of towering cliffs meeting the crystal-clear turquoise waters took our breath away. My wife gasped, her eyes wide with wonder.
“Look at this place!” she murmured, her voice tinged with awe.
We started our descent down the steep path to the beach, the view only becoming more magnificent with each step. The cliffs jutted out into the ocean like ancient sentinels, and the golden sand stretched endlessly below. My son couldn’t contain his excitement, running ahead, while I made sure my wife took every moment to soak in the view safely.
The sheer scale of Kelingking Beach left us speechless. The water was a vivid mix of blues and greens, crashing against the rocks with a rhythmic, soothing sound. My wife stood quietly, taking it all in, while my son bounded down to the shore, ready to explore.
“I feel like we’ve discovered something no one else knows about,” I said, scanning the vast expanse around us.
“It’s so untouched, so pure,” my wife replied softly.
After taking plenty of photos and savoring the moment, we made our way back up to the top of the cliffs and continued on our journey.
Next on our list was Angels Billabong, a natural infinity pool formed by the sea. The water here was a striking shade of jade green, surrounded by sharp coral formations. We marveled at how the ocean waves gently filled the pool, creating a shimmering effect that seemed almost surreal.
As we stood by the edge, my son couldn’t resist dipping his toes into the water. “It’s warm!” he exclaimed, laughing.
“Be careful,” I warned gently. “The waves can be unpredictable here.”
My wife took a moment to listen to the sound of the sea and whispered, “This place feels so alive.”
Just a short drive away from Angels Billabong was Broken Beach, aptly named for its naturally formed bridge that connects the cliffs. The sea has carved a path into the limestone, leaving a stunning turquoise lagoon. It was both majestic and peaceful, as though the ocean had sculpted this place with deliberate care.
My son, once again, ran ahead, his voice echoing with excitement. “Look at this, Papa! It’s like something from a dream!”
We took our time walking around the cliffs, marveling at the way the waves crashed against the rocks below, creating frothy, foamy spray. The air here was crisp, and the beauty of the landscape left us in awe.
After Broken Beach, we made our way to Prizin Beach, a hidden cove tucked away between towering cliffs. The path leading to the beach was narrow and steep, but once we reached the sand, the sight that greeted us was pure serenity.
“I think this is my favorite spot so far,” my wife whispered, letting the gentle breeze tousle her hair.
The golden sand stretched for miles, and the sound of the waves was soothing. My son, as always, ran toward the water, eager to explore every inch of the place.
“I feel like we’re the only ones here,” I said, looking around at the empty expanse of beach.
Continuing on, we arrived at Virgin Beach, a secluded paradise known for its untouched beauty. The white sand stretched out before us, lined with palm trees swaying gently in the breeze. The water here was the clearest I’d ever seen, a deep aquamarine that shimmered under the sunlight.
“This is paradise,” my wife murmured, sinking into the soft sand.
My son took off running, his laughter echoing as he played in the shallow waves. I watched them both, feeling at peace with the world, surrounded by nature’s bounty.
As the afternoon wore on, we decided to make our way back to Kelingking Beach for one last glimpse. This time, the shadows cast by the cliffs deepened the colors of the ocean, turning it into a palette of deep blues and emerald greens.
We found a quiet spot on the cliff and sat down to simply take in the view. The vastness of the sea stretched before us, and for a moment, the worries of life felt far away.
“Do you think we’ll ever find a place like this again?” my wife asked, her voice soft.
“Maybe we don’t have to find it,” I replied. “Maybe we’ve already found it.”
As we made our way back to the speedboat, our hearts were full—full of wonder, full of adventure, and full of gratitude for the stunning landscapes we had experienced. My son kept talking about all the places we had visited, his voice a blend of excitement and awe.
“You know,” he said, turning to me, “this is the best day ever.”
I grinned. “It’s up there, for sure.”
My wife linked her arm through mine, and we all shared a quiet smile, reliving the beauty we had witnessed together.

For a long time , I was planning to visit Bali , the most beautiful place in Indonesia and ultimately it materialized on 18/01/2025 . We, me my wife and my son started from New Delhi ( India) airport by an Air India flight at 10-10 Pm India time and reached Bali next day 8-30 Am local time after a seven and half hours of direct flight
I thought , I should share my experience with my readers . So this story .
Day 1 – A Day of Marine Wonders and Cultural Splendor
The morning in Bali started on a high note, quite literally, as we reached our hotel and kept our luggage at the cloak room, We had a leisurely breakfast featuring an array of tropical fruits,and all kinds of items considering the guests visiting all over the world . Without any delay, we set off for a day of adventure and cultural immersion.
Our first stop was Tanjung Benoa Beach
hotspot for water sports enthusiasts. The sun glistened off the turquoise waters as we arrived, and my son could barely contain his excitement. However, my wife seemed hesitant, her nervousness about the upcoming activities evident in her expression.
“I’ll stay back and watch,” she said, settling herself under a shady beach umbrella. “Maybe I’ll make some new friends instead!”
With a reassuring smile, I replied, “Don’t worry, we’ll tell you all about it when we’re back.”
My son and I first took to the skies with parasailing, the adrenaline rush unmatched as we soared above the ocean. The panoramic view of the coastline was breathtaking, and I couldn’t help but feel a sense of freedom.
“Papa, look down!” my son shouted, his voice filled with excitement. “It’s like we’re flying!”
I laughed, waving at the tiny figures of humans waiting for their turn in the beach below, Some of them also waved back may be to us or somebody who are also in the sky . I find my wife engrossed in a lively conversation with some local girls and women when we landed down to the ground ..
Next, we moved on to banana boating. The thrill of bouncing over the waves as we held on tightly was exhilarating. Each sharp turn had us laughing uncontrollably, and by the end, we were drenched but completely elated.
Then came the speedboat ride, which turned out to be the highlight of the morning. My son and I each boarded separate boats, accompanied by expert drivers. My boat driver, a jovial man with a contagious laugh, decided to spice things up by speeding far into the open sea.
“Slow down!” I yelled, half-laughing and half-nervous as the boat sliced through the waves.
He simply grinned and, to my utter shock, handed me the controls.
“Your turn!” he said.
For a moment, I froze. “You’re kidding, right?”
“No, it’s easy!” he assured me.
With trembling hands, I took the wheel. At first, every wave felt like a challenge, but soon enough, I found my rhythm, gradually increasing the speed. The laughter of my driver and the rush of the ocean wind gave me the confidence to enjoy the experience.
By the time we returned to the shore, my son and I were both brimming with stories of our escapades. My wife, meanwhile, was beaming, her newfound friend by her side.
“Looks like we all had our own adventures today,” she said, laughing as she handed us towels.
After a quick change into dry clothes, we stopped at a cozy local restaurant for lunch. The aroma of freshly grilled seafood filled the air as we sampled dishes like satay lilit and pepes ikan. The flavors were a delightful mix of spices, tangy tamarind, and coconut, leaving us satisfied and ready for the second half of our day.
As the evening approached, we made our way to the Uluwatu Temple for a performance of the traditional Kecak Dance. Perched on a cliff overlooking the vast Indian Ocean, the temple itself was a marvel, and the sunset painted the sky in hues of orange and pink.
The dance began as the sun dipped below the horizon, with a chorus of men sitting in a circle, chanting rhythmically. The story, based on the Ramayana, unfolded with mesmerizing grace, the dancers portraying the epic’s characters with expressive gestures and vivid costumes.
My son was particularly captivated by the fiery climax, where Hanuman sets fire to Lanka.
“This is amazing, Papa!” he whispered, his eyes wide with wonder.
Even my wife, who usually prefers quieter activities, was completely absorbed in the performance.
As we drove back to the hotel, the conversations flowed easily. My wife spoke of her friendly interactions with the locals, my son couldn’t stop talking about the Kecak Dance, and I recounted my brief stint as a speedboat captain, much to their amusement.
Before retiring for the night, we took a quiet stroll along the road near our hotel. The moonlight danced on the waves, and the sound of the ocean was still a soothing backdrop to our reflections on the day.
“It feels like we’ve been here forever,” my wife said softly, holding my hand.
I smiled. “That’s the magic of Bali—it makes time stand still.”
With hearts full of joy and anticipation for the adventures ahead, we returned to our room, ready for a peaceful sleep and the promise of another memorable day.
