Title: The Stranger on the Platform –Part- 2

Date: 11/06/2025

The next evening, I saw him again — same bench, same white kurta.

He looked at me, as if expecting I’d return.

“You came back,” he said.

“So did you,” I replied.

He chuckled. “When you grow old, you don’t travel much. You revisit. This bench is my only journey now.”

I asked him about the person he was waiting for.

“My daughter,” he said softly. “She left for the city 12 years ago. Promised to write. She never did. But I still come here. In case…”

The silence that followed was heavy, sacred.

“Maybe she’s too broken to return,” I whispered.

He nodded. “So I heal here, for both of us.”

When my train came, I didn’t want to leave.

He smiled, “Come tomorrow. I’ll tell you what love feels like after it’s gone.”

The Pause That Prepares

Don’t mistake stillness for weakness.

In nature, even the fiercest rivers pause before the fall. The seed is quiet before it cracks open. The sky holds its breath before the storm.

Your pause might feel like a delay — but it’s often a disguise for preparation.

Let silence train your strength. Let the pause become your push.

And when the world sees you move again, let them feel what the quiet built in you.

The Stranger on the Platform – part -1

Date: 10/06/2025

It was a dusky evening at Guwahati Railway Station. My train was delayed, and I sat quietly on a wooden bench, watching people rush past like time itself. That’s when I saw him — an old man in a white kurta, frayed around the edges, his eyes scanning the horizon as if waiting for someone who may never return.

He looked at me, smiled gently, and asked, “May I sit?”

I nodded.

For a while, we didn’t speak. Then, he whispered, “Do you travel to remember, or to forget?”

I looked at him, startled.

“To feel,” I replied.

He smiled again. “That’s rare.”

We didn’t exchange names. But I knew this would not be our only conversation.( To be continued )

Begin Again – With Fire Inside

Every sunrise gives us permission to start again, but not every morning brings the same fire.

Some days, we crawl toward the light. On others, we run toward it like someone chasing a train.

Today, don’t just begin — begin with urgency. Begin with that sharp, childlike hunger that makes people pause and ask: What drives you so deeply?

You don’t need the whole world behind you. Just a reason that wakes you up stronger than your excuses.

Let the flame inside you be louder than the noise around you.

A Brief Pause, Not a Goodbye

Dear Readers,

I hope this message finds you well. Due to some unavoidable preoccupations, I’ve been away from my blog for the past few days and may continue to be until next Sunday.

Writing and sharing with you is something I deeply cherish, and this pause is just a short interlude—not a farewell. I sincerely apologize for the temporary silence and thank you for your continued love and patience.

Looking forward to reconnecting with renewed energy and fresh thoughts soon.

With warmth and gratitude,

Rajat
