He Came, Sat for a While, and Left

A stray dog would come to the same spot near a small shop every evening.
It didn’t stay long.
Just a few minutes—sitting quietly, looking around, as if checking something familiar.
Some days there was food. Some days there wasn’t.
It didn’t seem to matter.
After a while, it would get up and leave, the same way it came—without hurry.
There was no expectation in its routine.
Just a quiet habit.
There is something steady in that.
Not everything we do needs to depend on what we receive in return.
Some actions become part of who we are, not because they bring results, but because they give structure to our day.
In our own lives, we often wait for response before we continue.
But sometimes, it helps to just stay with the pattern.
Show up. Be present. Then move on.
Tonight, there is something simple to carry.
Not every moment needs to give something back.
Some are just meant to be lived—and left as they are.
