In parts of Norway, there are stretches of land where silence is not empty—it feels complete.
Mountains stand still. Water moves slowly. Even the air seems to carry a kind of calm that does not ask for attention.
Nothing feels missing.
That kind of silence is rare.
We are used to filling spaces—with sound, with activity, with constant movement. Silence often feels like something that needs to be broken.
But not all silence is absence.
Sometimes, it is presence without noise.
When things are quiet, the mind begins to settle. Thoughts slow down. What seemed urgent loses its edge.
Clarity does not always come from more input.
It often comes from less.
The stillness of such places reminds us that not everything needs to be said, done, or filled.
Some things are already complete, just as they are.
And when you allow yourself to sit in that quiet, even briefly, something within you begins to feel the same.
