A small puppy wandered through a market lane, stopping near almost everyone it saw.
No hesitation. No fear.
It looked at people as if kindness was the most natural thing in the world.
Some smiled. Some ignored it. A few bent down to touch its head before moving on.
The puppy reacted the same way each time—tail moving, eyes curious, completely open to the moment.
There was something strangely pure in that.
No past disappointment. No guarded distance.
Just simple trust.
As people grow older, they become more careful. More protective. More selective about where they place trust.
That is understandable.
But sometimes, in protecting ourselves too much, we also lose a certain lightness.
Tonight, there is something gentle to remember.
Not everyone will respond the same way.
But staying open to small moments of kindness still makes life feel warmer.
And sometimes, that openness itself becomes a quiet kind of joy.
