Two small puppies became completely fascinated by a dry leaf moving across the road in the evening wind.
One chased it first. The other followed immediately.
The leaf rolled a little farther. Both ran after it again with total excitement, as if they had discovered something extraordinary.
For several minutes, nothing else existed for them except that drifting leaf.
People nearby smiled while watching the scene unfold.
There was something joyful in the simplicity of it.
No expensive toy. No planned activity.
Just complete involvement in a small passing moment.
As people grow older, they often lose that ability—to become fully present in something simple without needing it to be important.
Everything becomes measured by usefulness, outcome, or productivity.
But perhaps joy sometimes survives in ordinary moments precisely because they ask nothing from us.
Tonight, there is something light to remember.
Not every beautiful moment needs significance.
Sometimes, happiness is simply giving full attention to a small drifting leaf for a little while.
