The Stray Dog Walked Through the Empty

Market

Late at night, after the market had closed completely, a stray dog walked slowly through the empty lane between shuttered shops.
Paper moved lightly across the ground in the wind. A distant light flickered near a tea stall already closed for the night.
The dog stopped occasionally, looked around calmly, then continued moving through the silence as if it belonged naturally to the sleeping city.
There was something cinematic about the scene.
Not lonely exactly.
Just quiet in a deep and honest way.
Cities look different after noise disappears.
Perhaps people do too.
When distractions fade for a while, certain truths become easier to hear inside ourselves.
Not dramatic truths. Not life-changing revelations.
Just small honest feelings that daytime movement often hides beneath activity.
Tonight, there is something gentle to remember.
Silence does not always arrive to empty life.
Sometimes, it arrives to reveal what constant noise was preventing us from noticing.
