Early one morning, residents walking along a coastal beach noticed movement near a shallow tidal pool.
A young seal had become trapped among rocks as the tide receded.
Unable to free itself, it waited while concerned onlookers gathered nearby.
Fortunately, local wildlife volunteers arrived quickly.
Working carefully to avoid causing stress to the animal, they monitored its condition and waited for the safest moment to help.
As the tide slowly returned, the seal gained enough water to move freely again.
Within moments, it slipped back into the sea.
The crowd responded with smiles and quiet applause.
No one expected recognition.
No one sought attention.
They simply wanted to help a creature in need.
Stories like these rarely make major headlines.
Yet they reveal something important about people.
Given the opportunity, many choose compassion.
And every animal returned safely to its natural home is a reminder that kindness extends beyond our own species.
Sometimes the best endings arrive with the tide.
