A farmer once took an aging horse on a journey to a neighboring village.
The route crossed fields, streams and winding country roads.
The horse walked steadily throughout the day.
As evening approached, heavy rain reduced visibility and made travel difficult.
The farmer worried about losing the path.
Yet the horse seemed untroubled.
Given a little freedom, it continued forward with confidence.
Hours later, they arrived safely home.
The farmer later admitted that he had relied more on the horse than the horse had relied on him.
Stories like these are common among people who work closely with animals.
Experience teaches that animals often possess remarkable instincts and awareness of their surroundings.
The horse was not performing a trick.
It was simply using knowledge gained through years of familiar journeys.
Trust is built over time.
Whether between people or between humans and animals, it grows through shared experiences.
And sometimes, on a rainy evening, that trust is enough to guide the way home.
