At twilight, a playful otter emerged from a quiet stream.
It swam effortlessly, rolled through the water, and disappeared beneath the surface, only to reappear moments later.
The villagers watched from a respectful distance.
The otter seemed to enjoy life without hurry.
It reminded them that work and play need not be enemies.
Nature balances effort with rest.
Rivers continue to flow.
Birds continue to sing.
Animals find time to explore and rejoice.
Human beings often forget this balance.
We rush from one responsibility to another.
The otter offers a gentle reminder that joy is not a distraction from life.
It is part of living well.
Perhaps happiness is found not in doing more, but in appreciating the simple moments already flowing around us.
