“Not every guiding light seeks attention.”
A lighthouse keeper spent each evening ensuring that the lamp shone brightly across the sea.
Most sailors never met him.
Many never even knew his name.
Yet they reached home safely because someone quietly fulfilled his duty.
Life often celebrates those who stand in the spotlight.
But countless people make the world better without applause.
A teacher, a nurse, a parent, a neighbour, or a friend may become another person’s lighthouse.
Their kindness often goes unnoticed.
True service does not depend on recognition.
Like the lighthouse keeper, we may never know whose journey becomes safer because of our quiet efforts.
Sometimes, the brightest light is the one that asks for nothing in return.
