The Village Well

“The deepest strength is often shared quietly.”
In the heart of a village stood an old well.
It never asked who came with an empty bucket.
The thirsty, the traveller, the farmer, and the child all drew water from the same source.
The well gave without discrimination.
Its purpose was simply to serve.
Human kindness can be much the same.
A gentle word, a patient ear, or a helping hand may seem small.
Yet they often refresh another person’s spirit more than we realize.
Like the village well, our greatest value may lie not in what we possess, but in what we willingly share.
True generosity flows quietly.
It asks for no applause.
It simply makes life better for others.
