“A small light can become a great comfort.”
Every evening, an elderly woman placed a lamp in her window before sunset.
She once said, “Perhaps no one notices it, but if someone is lost, even a small light may guide them home.”
Years passed, and the habit never changed.
The lamp became a symbol of hope for neighbours returning late and travellers passing through.
Life offers many opportunities to become that light.
A kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or a simple act of encouragement can brighten another person’s difficult day.
We may never know whose path becomes easier because of our kindness.
Like the lamp in the window, our greatest purpose may simply be to help someone find hope when darkness surrounds them.
