A book is born in one language, but its journey can take it far beyond the boundaries of that language.
My Golden Book Award-winning biography, A Sanguine Tale: Unfolding the Life of a Project Engineer, has now reached readers through its French, Spanish and Chinese editions.
For me, this is a deeply gratifying moment. A story drawn from a professional life—its experiences, challenges, decisions and lessons—is finding a place among readers from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
Each translation gives the book another opportunity to be discovered. It also reminds me that experiences rooted in one part of the world can find meaning elsewhere.
Awards bring recognition, but seeing one’s work travel across languages brings a different kind of satisfaction.
I am grateful to the translators, readers and everyone who has helped carry this book into new languages. Thank you for reading, encouraging and giving this story a life beyond its original language.
