The Soul Eater of the Amazon

Deep in the Amazon rainforest, Diego’s team of researchers was studying a newly discovered plant when an old shaman warned them of the Devorador de Almas—the Soul Eater.

Ignoring him, they set up camp. That night, Diego woke to the sound of his colleague, Mateo, mumbling in his sleep. His eyes were open, but completely black.

Then, he spoke in a voice not his own: “You took from the jungle. Now it takes from you.”

One by one, the team vanished. Diego ran to the river, only to see their faces reflected in the water—trapped beneath the surface, screaming silently.

When rescue teams arrived, they found no bodies, just their journals, all ending with the same chilling phrase: The jungle always wins.

The Hyena Man

Elijah, a wildlife photographer, ventured deep into the Maasai Mara to capture nocturnal animals. As he set up his camera, he noticed hyenas circling, their eyes glowing unnaturally.

A Maasai elder had warned him of the Hyena Man—a cursed being who could shift between human and beast. Elijah laughed it off.

That night, he heard heavy breathing outside his tent. Peeking through the flap, he saw a tall figure with elongated limbs and a hyena’s face grinning at him. Its human-like hands twitched, claws gleaming in the moonlight.

Elijah tried to run, but the creature moved too fast, whispering in a guttural voice, “Join the pack.”

Days later, his camp was found abandoned. Only his camera remained, with the last photograph showing a man mid-transformation—half human, half hyena, with Elijah’s terrified face frozen beside it.

The Room of No Return

In an old haveli in Rajasthan, Room 105 was always locked. The caretaker warned travelers, “No one who sleeps there returns.”

Vikram, a skeptic, laughed and took the key. That night, shadows crawled along the walls, whispering his name. The door creaked open by itself.

He felt something cold touch his shoulder. A voice rasped, “You took my place.” His own reflection in the mirror smirked at him, then stepped out.

By morning, Vikram was gone, and a new guest checked in. The caretaker sighed, handing them the same cursed key, as the cycle began again.

The Crying Baby of the Outback

Jake, a trucker, was driving through the Australian Outback when he heard a baby crying in the distance. He stopped, shining his flashlight into the bushes.

A woman appeared, her back to him, cradling something. “Are you lost?” Jake asked.

She turned, revealing hollow sockets where her eyes should have been. The “baby” in her arms was a withered husk. She whispered, “He needs a new father.”

Jake ran to his truck, but the woman was suddenly outside his window. The baby reached out with skeletal fingers.

Days later, they found his truck abandoned, doors open. Only a single footprint remained—too small to be his, yet too large for a child’s.

The Blood Moon Ritual

@ All rights reserved by the author
Date: 26/03/2025

During a trip to Mexico, Daniel and his friends heard whispers of the “Blood Moon Ritual” in a remote village. Curious, they hid in the jungle, watching.

At midnight, the villagers gathered, chanting around a massive stone slab. A woman in red was led forward, her eyes vacant. As the moon turned crimson, her body convulsed, and a shadowy figure rose from her mouth—an ancient god of death.

Daniel gasped, and the chanting stopped. The villagers turned toward them. One elder whispered, “You have seen too much.”

The next morning, Daniel’s friends were found wandering the jungle, speaking in tongues. Daniel was never found. But on the next Blood Moon, his silhouette appeared in the ritual, whispering, “Run.”
