The Train That Never Stops

Date: 23/03/2025

Keiko boarded the last train home from Tokyo. The carriage was empty except for a woman in a kimono sitting across from her, face hidden beneath her hair.

The train sped past her station. Keiko pressed the emergency stop, but nothing happened. The woman lifted her head, revealing hollow black eyes. “You shouldn’t have boarded,” she whispered.

Keiko ran to the doors, but the outside had turned into a swirling void. Her reflection in the window grinned at her, though she wasn’t smiling.

The next day, police found an abandoned train at the terminal—completely empty. But every few weeks, a new passenger disappears, always seen talking to a woman in a kimono before vanishing forever.

The Whispering Statue

The antique shop in Florence had an eerie charm, but Maria was drawn to a small marble statue of a weeping woman. The shopkeeper hesitated before selling it.

That night, Maria awoke to whispers in a foreign tongue. The statue had moved from her shelf to her bedside table. The next night, the whispers grew louder, pleading, crying. Maria researched and found the statue once belonged to a noblewoman buried alive by her jealous husband.

Terrified, she tried returning it, but the shop had vanished. That night, the whispers turned to screams, and Maria felt cold hands closing around her throat. By morning, she was found lifeless, her face frozen in silent horror. The statue had moved again—this time, placed beside her corpse.

The Dancing Fireflies

On a summer night by the river, Priya stood watching the fireflies dance. Lost in their glow, she didn’t notice Rohit approaching.

“You always come here alone,” he said softly.

Priya smiled. “It’s peaceful.”

Rohit stepped closer. “You know… fireflies only glow to find their mate.”

She turned to him, her heart racing. “So, what are you trying to say?”

He held out a small jar with a glowing firefly inside. “That maybe… you’ve already found yours.”

Priya’s face softened. “Only if you’ll stay… and watch them dance with me.”

They sat side by side, two hearts glowing brighter than any firefly.

The Flower Cart Confession

Riya loved stopping at the flower cart near her office. One morning, she noticed a note tucked into her usual bunch of lilies:

“You make this street brighter. —A Secret Admirer”

For weeks, more notes followed — sweet words hidden among petals.

Curious, Riya waited one evening and saw Aryan — the quiet vendor’s son — shyly watching her from afar.

“You?” she smiled, walking up to him.

Aryan blushed. “I… I just wanted to tell you… your smile makes my day.”

Riya chuckled, taking the flowers. “Then I’ll keep smiling… if you keep writing.”
