The Things We Don’t Say

Sometimes, silence
is a better architect
than speech.

You built a bridge
from my glance
to your regret,
and I walked it
without shoes.

We’ve mastered
the art of unspoken pain—
your nod,
my shifted shoulder.

The things we don’t say
live longer
than anything
we dared to utter.

3 Whimsical Limericks to Brighten Your Day

Whispers in Rhyme – Limericks that Smile

Date of Posting: 23rd April 2025

Posted by: Rajat Chandra Sarmah
Location: Guwahati, Assam, India

1. The Moonlit Affair
A maiden once danced on the dune,
Her heart in a waltz with the moon.
She giggled with grace,
In night’s cool embrace,
And vanished before it was noon.

2. The Old Owl’s Advice
An old owl from banyan’s embrace,
Wore glasses that slipped from his face.
He hooted, “Be wise,
And see through the lies—
Life’s not always a merry race!”

3. The Painter’s Dream
A painter with brushes so bold,
Mixed sunshine with shimmer and gold.
He painted a breeze,
With magical ease,
And stories the silence had told.

Of Half-Finished Things

@ALL RIGHT RESERVED BY THE AUTHOR

Date :22/04/2025

A half-read novel.
An unfinished painting.
An almost relationship.

Some things are never meant to end. And that doesn’t make them less beautiful.

We glorify completion. We celebrate closure.
But some moments are meant to float without a finish line.
Like a sunset interrupted by rain.
Like a hug that never became a kiss.

Don’t be ashamed of what remains incomplete.
It only means it mattered.
Enough to start. Enough to feel.
Even if not enough to finish.

Laughter at the Desk – Office Woes

Date of posting 22/0/2025

Three hilarious takes on office life to lighten up your busy workday:

1. “I choose a lazy person to do a hard job. Because a lazy person will find an easy way to do it.”
— Bill Gates

2. “Hard work never killed anybody, but why take a chance?”
— Edgar Bergen

3. “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.”
— Douglas Adams

Even Excel sheets deserve a little giggle!

Quiet Kind of Brave

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED NY THE AUTHOR

21/04/2025

Not all courage wears boots.
Some of it walks barefoot—
across tiled floors
where no one claps.

It is the small yes
after a year of saying no.
It is making tea
on the day you’d rather not exist.

Bravery can be
in brushing your hair.
In texting back.
In not breaking the plate
when you so badly want to.

Some wars
are invisible.
Some victories
look like
breathing.

On People Who Vanish Without Explanation

ALL RIGHT TEDERVED WITH THE AITHOR

Date: 20/04/2025

They leave. No text. No closure. No noise.

And it hurts more than a breakup, more than betrayal. Because it makes you question your memory, your worth, your sanity.

But maybe they didn’t vanish.
Maybe they were drowning in something they couldn’t name.
Maybe goodbye felt too formal for a mess they never meant to make.
Maybe silence was the only language they knew how to speak.

It’s not an excuse. But sometimes it’s a reason.

You deserve answers. But you also deserve peace.
And sometimes, peace comes from no longer needing an explanation.

How a City Forgets You

ALL RIGHTS RESERVED BY THE AUTHOR

Date :19/04/2025

A city does not mourn—
it simply builds
over what it cannot name.

Your favourite chai stall
becomes a parking lot.
The graffiti you loved
is scrubbed
into something
less political.

Even the pigeons
no longer pause
at your window.

But somewhere,
an alley still smells
like your laughter—
if it rains
just right.
