A small puppy tried very hard to stay awake near a roadside tea stall.
Its eyes kept closing, then opening suddenly again as if it didn’t want to miss anything happening around it.
People smiled while watching.
It shifted places twice, stretched once, then finally gave up—curling into itself and falling asleep right there beside the bench.
Completely relaxed. Completely trusting the moment.
The world around continued normally—voices, footsteps, distant traffic.
But the puppy slept peacefully through all of it.
There was something strangely calming in that sight.
No effort to control everything. No struggle to stay alert all the time.
Just rest, when rest was needed.
In our own lives, we often remain mentally awake even when exhausted—thinking, worrying, replaying things long after the day is over.
But not every thought needs to be carried into the night.
Tonight, there is something simple to remember.
Sometimes, peace begins the moment you stop trying to hold everything together for a while.
And simply allow yourself to rest where you are.
