Every Thursday evening, members of a community choir gathered in a small church hall to rehearse.
One autumn night, an unexpected visitor appeared.
A ginger cat wandered through the open door and settled quietly near the singers.
Nobody paid much attention.
But the following week, the cat returned.
And the week after that.
Soon the choir members began expecting their unusual audience.
The cat seemed particularly interested in the music. Whenever rehearsals began, it would find a comfortable spot near the front of the room and remain there until the final song.
Visitors found the sight amusing.
Children loved it.
The choir adopted the cat as an unofficial member.
Although it never sang a note, its presence brought smiles to everyone involved.
Over time, the cat became part of the choir’s identity.
It reminded people that joy often arrives unexpectedly.
Not through grand events or major achievements.
But through small surprises that brighten ordinary days.
Sometimes happiness slips quietly through an open door, curls up beside us and decides to stay.
