The Unfinished Conversation

“Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless.” — Mother Teresa

Many years ago, two friends met regularly for tea.
Their conversations wandered from current events to family stories, from serious matters to harmless jokes.
One day, they ended their meeting as they always had.
“See you next week.”
But life had other plans.
Circumstances changed, paths diverged, and the next meeting never happened.
The unfinished conversation remained.
Not as a regret, but as a reminder.
Most relationships are built not on grand occasions but on countless ordinary exchanges.
A greeting.
A question.
A shared laugh.
We seldom realize which conversation will be the last for a long time.
Perhaps that is why every interaction deserves a little patience and kindness.
Life rarely provides advance notice.
The ordinary moments we overlook today may become the memories we cherish tomorrow.
And sometimes, the most valuable conversations are the ones we thought would continue forever.
