The Cat Who Chose His Family

A family once noticed a stray cat sitting quietly outside their house every evening.
They left a little food for him.
The next day, he returned.
Then the next.
Soon, he stopped waiting outside and began walking into the house as if he had always lived there.
The family gave him a name, a warm corner, and eventually a place on the sofa.
But the amusing part was that the cat seemed to believe the arrangement had been his idea all along.
He chose when to appear, where to sleep, and whom to sit beside.
The family liked to joke that they had not adopted the cat.
The cat had adopted them.
There is something wonderfully comforting about animals.
They enter our lives without speeches or promises and somehow become part of the family.
Sometimes, the best relationships begin when neither side plans them.
