A man once boarded a bus after a long day at work, found a comfortable seat by the window, and immediately closed his eyes.
After several minutes, he opened them and looked outside.
Nothing seemed familiar.
He asked the passenger beside him, “Excuse me, does this bus go to Central Avenue?”
The passenger looked at him and smiled.
“No. But I was wondering why you got on.”
The man stared at him for a moment.
Then both began laughing.
He had boarded the wrong bus at the wrong stop, but fortunately had enough time to get off and take the next one.
Sometimes a tired mind can make a very simple mistake.
And sometimes the best response is not frustration, but a laugh.
We spend so much time trying to get everything right.
Perhaps an occasional wrong bus is not the worst thing that can happen.
It may simply give us a story to laugh about later.
