My phone knows my habits better than I do,
It knows when I wake, and when I scroll through two.
It knows what I search, what I watch, what I buy,
And somehow it knows when I’m ready to sigh.
It reminds me to walk, to drink and to sleep,
Then watches me ignore every promise I keep.
It tells me, “Your screen time is getting too high,”
I say, “Thank you, dear phone,” and continue to lie.
But there is one thing my phone cannot see:
Why she smiles whenever she looks back at me.
So I keep one secret, though technology’s bright—
Some things are better left beautifully offline at night.
